Racist stickers placed on businesses in Austin

The Texas city of Austin has been struck by a series of offensive stickers being placed on businesses in its central shopping district, CNN reports. The stickers were placed on at least five businesses inn Austin and used the font and design of official City of Austin signs, but stated the businesses were for the exclusive use of white people. Various officials from the city have criticized the stickers and stated they have nothing to do with the city itself. Each business so far identified as being targeted has removed the offensive stickers and reported the incident to the authorities reported emobile.

Austin Mayor Steve Adler called the stickers offensive and stated they had no place in the city of Austin. The stickers are thought to have been placed on the same night between midnight and 7 a.m. in the morning. The stickers have sen the local law enforcement agencies combine their efforts with business owners and city officials in a hunt for those who placed the racist stickers on the businesses.
