The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority Board is proud to have three new board members. The Board has also a new chairman by the name, Andy Wirth. It is important to note that Wirth is the CEO of Squaw Valley Ski/ Alpine Meadows. The new board members are Jessica Sferrazza, Lisa Gianoli and Jenifer Rose. The three board members and chairman assumed their positions on July 9, according to the Sierra Sun.
While accepting the new position, Wirth asserted that new people would be instrumental in bringing new ideas that would enhance the airport to higher heights. He continued to posit that the new members were experienced and talented persons who were dedicated to augmenting the travel experience to and from the region. Wirth has been on the board for quite some time. While at the board, he has offered his services as a liaison officer between the Reno-Sparks region and Lake Tahoe. At the time, Wirth was representing the airport as a Gateway for Lake Tahoe.
Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority (RSCVA) board appointed Andy Wirth in 2013. Wirth has a wide-ranging experience in areas of management of international resort. Owing to his experience, he has been able to work for various airlines with the view to creating more flights for various resorts in Canada and Utah, Colorado. In his speech, Wirth stated that he was much honored to represent the RSCVA by being allowed to serve as the Chairman of a board that is fundamental to the economy of the region. He went on to add that enhancement of air services would be imperative to the ski industry, businesspersons and gaming. In his remarks, Wirth asserted that he was looking forward to working with the different members of staff and board in a bid to attract more flights within the region.
Persons having remarkable wealth of experience in different fields grace the board of Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority. It is My Community Store CEO and host of Plush life, a television show that features local events and products, Rose, has massive business-to-business experience. Gianoli is the owner of a consulting firm that deals with government relations. Over the years, Gianoli has been representing the local government on issues of legislation. She has experience as a financial analyst besides being a budget manager for the Washoe County. Sferrazza has been a consultant for different businesses. She is the founder of JESSCONVLLC and served on the Reno City Council.
The appointment of Andy Wirth as the chairman of the authority will have a positive impact on the economy of the region. Given that he will work with the new board members, he is sure to implement many strategies for the entity in a successful manner.
